Comments: Gil Evans was a unique individual and musician who was interested in painting a picture with notes. His arrangements came to prominence with his collaborations with Miles Davis, and although he wasn't known outside of the jazz world, the respect with which he was treated by his fellow musicians was unparalleled.

Comments: A fantastic, really special, CD by Gil. The music on this recording is sublime and beautiful, and the combination of Elvin Jones and Wayne Shorter playing Gil's music makes this CD a must-have CD!
