Wednesday, 4/9 - 55 Bar, with the Vinson Valega Group (featuring Chris Bacas on tenor & soprano saxophones, Sheryl Bailey on guitar, and Gary Wang on bass.). 7-9pm. 55 Christopher Street, just east of 7th Avenue. (212) 929-9883. No cover but two drink minimum. This is one of the best sounding rooms in the city with a history that dates back over twenty years!

Tuesday, 4/29 - Fundraiser- David Yassky for New York City Comptroller, 101 Riverviews - 23rd Floor Terrace, with the Vinson Valega Trio. 6-8pm. 101 Avenue of the Americas, one block north of Canal Street. (212) 346-9398. David Yassky has been an exceptional City Council member from Brooklyn who has been leading the charge for a Greener New York City. He sponsored the bill to get the taxi fleet into hybrids in five years and has led the fight against illegal guns here in the City, to name only two issues where he's shown great leadership. He's being term-limited out of office and is now running for the Comptroller of NYC. Come give your support to this smart and talented legislator!

No cover, just a great sounding Steinway that's in the bar area, with a full menu in the restaurant.

Friday, 5/9 - Garage Restaurant and Bar, with the Dimitri Moderbacher Quartet (featuring Dimitri on tenor sax, Chris Parrello of guitaraR, and Mike Karn on bass). 6:15 - 10:15pm. 99 Seventh Ave., at Christopher Street and Sheridan Square, Greenwich Village. (212) 645-0600. No Cover...just a big bar and music, with food if you're hungry.
